The Bookshelf at Esther's Place accepts donations of new or gently used educational resources and materials for home educating families.
We accept the following:

curriculum or other elementary and high school instructional materials; please make sure that any consumables are still able to be purchased
-
Classic Literature, Living Books, novels published before 1975, biographies, autobiographies
-
nonfiction illustrated picture books
-
Bob Books, Usborne phonics readers, vintage classroom readers
-
books or other media specific to Christian parenting, godly marriage, child development, or home education
-
small educational toys, educational games and puzzles, manipulatives, and educational tools (clean, working, and complete sets)

Not accepted:*
-
old editions of texts that require consumables no longer available for purchase
-
past editions of Apologia, Abeka, and BJU (please visit publishers' websites for latest edition information)
-
cassette tapes or VHS tapes
-
large or non-educational toys, games or puzzles
-
college text books, with exception of texts required for CLEP
-
Bibles and devotionals
-
leveled or "easy" readers or trade books published after 1975
